Summer Work and Travel USA is a program launched by the US Department of State in the 1960s for students from around the world who want to visit America during the summer. Apart from being able to travel to the United States, students gain the right and earn some money and complement their student days with an unforgettable adventure.
During the sixties, the US Department of State launched a series of programs through which young people from all over the world have the opportunity to experience the American way of life for a certain period of time. What started out as a travel program evolved into a larger project, Work and Travel, when the State Department realized that many of those who wanted to see America wanted to cover travel expenses over the summer.
The J -1 visa allows Summer Work and Travel students to travel and work legally in the United States during a summer school holiday. Students from Serbia have the opportunity to work in the United States from May 21 to October 1.
After the completion of the program, students can travel with money that has earned 30 additional days (as long as it does not prevent them from returning to their college duties on time).
Work and Travel USA offers you the opportunity to be more than just a tourist, and we believe that this program is one of the best experiences you can get.
